Overview:

This course is aimed at care staff and anyone wishing to develop their understanding of how grief and loss affects individuals. It looks in depth at the stages of grief, loss and attachment and explores ways of supporting the person through the stages of bereavement to recovery

The course looks at the psychological and social effects of bereavement and support systems available.

• Psychological and social effects of bereavement

• Coping with grief and loss

• The principles of attachment and loss

• Recovery and moving on

• Support systems

Costs:

This is a one day course costing £400 (no vat) and can be delivered to a maximum of 15 delegates.
